Ghim Soon Machinery Pte Ltd ("Ghim Soon") warrants this home sewing machine (the “Product”), excluding consumable parts (such as plastic front panel, foot controller, needles, needle threader, thread cutter, all hooks (sewing machines and overlocker), bobbins, loopers, feed dogs, knife blades, seals (O-ring, etc), bulbs, lamps, LED light bulbs/strips, and belts) to the original purchaser to be free from defects in the materials or workmanship of the Product under normal use and service from the date of purchase of the Product by the original purchaser (i.e. date of conclusion of sales contract either orally or in writing), as follows: 1. for a limited warranty period of one year on light assembly, wiring, switches; and 2. for a limited warranty period of one year on all other parts.
The product must be unplugged from the power source when not in use.
Faulty parts which are replaced will remain as property of Ghim Soon. Serviced machines which are not collected within 2 months from the date of notification for collection will automically goes under the property of Ghim Soon.
If, at any time during the applicable limited warranty period, the Product is determined to be defective by Ghim Soon, Ghim Soon will replace or repair the Product, at Ghim Soon’s option. The Product is warranted only for normal household non-commercial use. This limited warranty does not cover corrosion, rustings or stains, body or paintwork of machine, installation to wrong power supply, Act of Gods, service charges for checking improper installation/operation of machines,routine maintenance servicing,faulty display set or machine loan for commerical purposes, defects, damages and any kind whatsoever due to accidents, misuse/negligence, abuse, negligence, commercial use, or modification of, or to any part of the Product, or if the specifications supplied at the time of purchase with respect to proper maintenance and lubrication have not been observed or if the serial number affixed to the machine has been tampered with or defaced or if the original bill of sale, warranty certificate for the machine or other proof of purchase acceptable to Ghim Soon is not presented at the time service or repair is sought under this warranty. This limited warranty shall be null and void unless the original purchaser (i) complies with any and all operating instructions in the manual provided or (ii) fails to have the Product periodically serviced and tuned by Ghim Soon in accordance with the service manual. This limited warranty may only be used by the original purchaser of the Product. This limited warranty is not transferable to any subsequent purchaser, owner and/or any kind whoever, and Ghim Soon will take the responsibilities under this limited warranty only to the original purchaser and only the original purchaser may obtain service under this limited warranty. Service under this warranty may only be obtained within Singapore where the original purchaser has purchased the Product. GHIM SOON SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY AND ALL DAMAGES AND LOSSES, OR DEFECT RESULTING FROM THE USE OF OTHERS THAN AUTHENTIC PARTS AND THE REPAIR OF THE PRODUCT BY UNAUTHORISED SERVICE PERSONNEL. REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER. GHIM SOON SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND INCLUDING INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY FROM ANY BREACH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. THERE ARE NO EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES OTHER THAN THOSE DESCRIBED HEREIN. The original purchaser is strongly recommended to firstly contact Ghim Soon, if the original purchaser needs certain service under this limited warranty. Ghim Soon is not responsible for any and all damages and losses that occur to the Product during transportation to or from the original purchaser.
For local purchases in Singapore, Ghim Soon is pleased to offer pick up services in which we will pick the machine up from designated locations,bring back to service thoroughly and deliver back to owner at a nominal fee of $30(includes GST). One way service will be chargeable at $20. These costs will not cover the servicing cost and cost of change of parts.
This warranty does not affect the statutory rights of the original purchaser under any applicable national laws in force nor the rights of the original purchaser against the dealer arising from their sales/purchase contract. This limited warranty shall be interpreted, construed and enforced in all respects in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
Ghim Soon reserves the right to amend or modify the terms and conditions of this warranty without giving prior notice.
This is the 2nd machine I purchase from Ghim Soon. Purchased this HD3000 with a free box of Madeira thread on a Friday a few months back. Received it on the next day. My main purpose in purchasing this HD3000 is to use it as a backup shall my primary machine, a semi industrial, decided to have a sudden break down and am in need to complete orders. Am so eager to try out how strong is this little mechanical sewing machine. Therefore tried it out on the product which I sew most of the time. I’m pretty satisfied with it. No sudden stop/ jam from thin to thick, no broken needle 👍 Completing my product as compared to my primary machine, took a longer period of time as the speed is 850 stitch per minute (slower), pressure feet is larger as compare to my semi industrial machine, a bit difficult to maneuver around and also there is no auto thread cutter as well as the needle to stay up /down button. However, it is strong, important for me as I want one that can sew thru layers – > Fabrics + interlinings (thin, thick, hard etc) with ease. Just like my semi industrial machine. Also, the extra high presser foot lift is so much higher as compare to my primary machine👍 It have 18 different type of stitches as well as 1 step button hole. My primary machine, only straight stitch though, do not have all these. Sometimes I do need those blind or zig zag stitches to prevent fabric edge fraying as well as making button holes on apparel. If you are a beginner, have a budget, and want to sew bags and other thick thick products, HD3000 is a good choice. Reasonable priced too.
Service is very good. I pre ordered Janome HD3000 in Jun for delivery on Aug and also did a trade in of my old Singer. The new machine is much sturdier and heavy duty than my old Singer. Kudos to the great recommendation!
First time purchasing from Alex and team. Love their service provided and this machine. They even picked up my FS101 for servicing as they delivered my order! Machine is easy to use. Just needs a bit of getting used to on my side. Stitches are even on both sides and easy to change width and length as well. Fuss free machine that can definitely handle thick layers. And I'm also very amazed at how quiet it is! Love it. Thanks a ton.

I upgraded to Janome HD3000 from a basic sewing machine. No regrets as it has served my needs well so far. I like the sleek design with a hidden top compartment to house the spool thread and spare footers. Monica was very knowledgeable and didn't hard sell when I went down for a demo of their machines. Alex was very patient in attending to my endless queries as I wasn't able to make a decision at first. He also personally delivered my extension table (which I've totally forgotten) the following day amidst what must have been one of their busiest day! i contacted Alex on Fri and was given advice catered to my needs. I popped by on Monday with my daughter and was greeted by everyone warmly. They set up the machine and guided my daughter on how to use the machine. I traded my existing machine and Mr Tan delivered the machine there and then. my daughter was so awed that the boss of GS gave us a lift back together with our new machine. Chatted with Mr Tan in the ride back and I felt that I've made my purchase correctly. Not only are they experienced, they are also passionate about meeting the needs of the customer.
